June 14, 2024 Community Update: End of Year Message from Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers
Dear Team BCPS—
Happy last day of school! The end of a school year provides a great opportunity for us to pause for reflection, celebrate the successes of the year, and plan for the year ahead. I want to thank all members of the Team BCPS community for a great year of learning, growth, and partnership. I am so proud of our staff and students for all they have accomplished, and I cannot be prouder of the more than 7,000 students who just graduated from our schools and are on their way to higher education and bright careers.
I am truly grateful to be a part of a community that is unwavering in its commitment to our 110,000 + students and willing to do the needed work to fast forward student achievement and move our system forward. I have learned so much from each of you and I am confident that as we continue to work together, we will excel and build a system where all students reach their highest potential. Planning for the 2024-2025 school year is well underway and I invite you to tune in to the June 17 presentation where I will share BCPS progress and highlights from the 2023-2024 school year and review our system priorities and initiatives to bolster student achievement.
Have a wonderful summer, Team BCPS! Take the time to rest, relax, and recharge. Spend time with family, friends and loved ones. Take advantage of our free Summer Meals Program, dive into summer reading, maximize learning at BCPS summer programs, and make plans to join us at BCPSFest 2024 to kick off the new school year.
