Purpose

The Office of Employee Absence Management (OEAM) implements strategies to protect and support Baltimore County Public Schools' personnel through the administration of the workers' compensation program, absence management programs, leaves of absences, and behavioral matters (including fitness for duty and reasonable suspicion).

OEAM provides resources to employees and supervisors to help them navigate challenging circumstances. We administer Board of Education Policies, Superintendent's Rules, and Compass strategies in accordance with State and federal laws.
