The Here for It Attendance Awareness Campaign is an ongoing initiative that will include a curated collection of tools, resources, and suggested activities available to various BCPS stakeholders to raise awareness around the importance of regular school attendance and offer support for decreasing barriers to regular school attendance.

Together, we strive to create a community where every student’s presence is valued, and absenteeism is a rarity, thus paving the way for a brighter, more promising future for all.
The Here for It Attendance Awareness Campaign launched on July 1, 2023, and is an ongoing initiative that includes a curated collection of tools, resources, and suggested activities available to various BCPS stakeholders to raise awareness around the importance of daily on-time school attendance.
The following resources/tools have been developed for school-based attendance committees:
Principals and schools are encouraged to utilize the Here for It tools and resources throughout the year to promote a culture of attendance and to support efforts to decrease the percentage of chronically absent students. All staff are encouraged to promote a culture of daily on-time attendance and can tweet their school-wide participation using #HereForItBCPS.
