Teacher & Administrator Evaluation

In collaboration with the Executive Director of Organizational Development and Leadership, the Chief of Schools, and system stakeholders, the Office of Teacher and Administrator Evaluation helps develop standard frameworks, tools, and processes for supporting teacher observation, evaluation, and growth across BCPS. The Office of Teacher and Administrator Evaluation supports teachers and administrators in applying data-based observational and evaluative feedback to support teacher growth and increase student achievement.

Supports include:

  • Aligning frameworks, tools, and processes with a teacher support and coaching model
  • Delivering professional development for teachers and administrators to support teachers' professional growth in alignment with the BCPS Framework for Teaching and student performance data
  • Providing systemwide and school-based professional development for teachers related to qualitative and quantitative observation and evaluation processes
  • Collaborating and coordinating with system offices in the review, update, and development of teacher evaluation rubrics
