School Leaders Licensure Assessment Course

The Department of Organizational Development and Leadership offers a series of four two-hour preparatory sessions for a study group of assistant principals, teachers, and/or C&I staff who are planning to take the electronic School Leaders Licensure Assessment 6990 (SLLA). The coursework requires 1-1/2 hours of homework per week. Candidates must be prepared to complete all work as assigned. A passing score on the SLLA earns the participant Administrator II certification, which is required for the principalshipThis course is strongly encouraged for assistant principals and for those seeking future administrative positions as a principal. Registrants must have Administrator I Certification to participate and must commit to the four sessions in the series.

The study group sessions run twice a year, in the fall and early spring. All sessions are held virtually from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Notice of the SLLA runs in the News Hub six weeks prior to the first day of the course

When registration is open, individuals interested in participating in School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) Preparation Directions may register in Powerschool. Class size is limited to 25 participants.
