Allied Sports Awards

The BCPS Allied Sports program recognizes the regular season team champion in each season in addition to the presentation of the following awards:

The Belinko Cup- This award is presented annually at the Pumpkin Bowl to the team voted by their peers as displaying “the best sportsmanship and spirit of allied sports”.  The award is named for longtime BCPS Coordinator of Athletics Ron Belinko who was instrumental in developing the Allied Sports Program in 1994.  Owings Mills High School was the first recipient of the Cup in 2012.

The Masterman Plaque- This award is presented annually to the winner of the Allied Bocce Tournament each year.  The award honors former Supervisor of Athletics, Jill Masterman, who also was instrumental in the development of the BCPS Allied Sports Program.

The Jackson Trophy - This award is presented to the team with the best record at the conclusion of the Allied Softball Season.  The award honors former Overlea and Kenwood Allied Sports coach and Director Tammy Jackson for her many selfless contributions to the BCPS Allied Sports Program.

The Spirit of Soccer Award- This award is presented to outstanding Allied Soccer players who are recognized at the MACS All-State Soccer banquet annually.
