Purpose and Background:

As Baltimore County Public Schools initiates the design of the Towson High School project, the first step is to engage community stakeholders and consulting parties, which includes coordination with the Maryland Historic Trust (MHT).   The project will be financed using state funds from the Public School Construction Program, The Maryland Historical Trust Act of 1985, Section 106, mandates that historic resources be taken into consideration as part of the compliance with MHT for the project.  For more information Maryland Historical Trust Section 106 Process.
