Purpose
Evaluate options for improving facility conditions and
providing capacity relief to high schools in the Southeast Area.
Background
In 2020, Baltimore County Government and Baltimore County
Public Schools (BCPS) commissioned a consultant to assess school facility needs
and develop a long-range plan that addresses those needs and allocates
resources equitably. The resulting Multi-Year Improvement Plan for All Schools (MYIPAS) includes prioritized
recommendations for needed capital improvements to each elementary,
middle and high school.
High School recommendations were
presented to the Baltimore County Board of Education and Baltimore County
Council in September of 2020. Based
on these recommendations BCPS has initiated a study to evaluate options for
improving facility conditions and providing capacity relief to high schools in
the Southeast Area

Community Forum 3, April 2, 2024, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: Sparrows Point Middle and High School, Auditorium

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 6 p.m., staff from the Department of
Facilities Management and Strategic Planning shared a progress update on the
Sparrows Point High/Middle School project. The meeting was open to staff,
students, and families and was held in the school auditorium.

Where: Dundalk High School, 1901 Delvale Ave, Dundalk MD, 21222
Baltimore County Public Schools has
scheduled an additional community forum for the public to review options and
solicit feedback on how best to improve buildings, enhance school use, and
provide capacity relief for high schools in the county’s southeast area. The
public will be able to attend the new forum either in person or online.
