Curriculum Information
  1. MSDE: Maryland State Department of Education
  2. ITEEA: International Technology and Engineering Educators Association is the professional organization for technology, innovation, design, and engineering educators.
  3. STEM-CTL: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Center for Teaching and Learning of the ITEEA.
  4. PLTW: Project Lead the Way - A national engineering curriculum for grades 6-12.

Middle School Technology Education/Engineering Curriculum: 
Locally developed technology education courses are available for students in grades 6 - 8.

  • Grade 6-8: PLTW Gateway to Technology
    (Arbutus Middle, Catonsville Middle, Deep Creek Middle, Dundalk Middle, Holabird Middle, Parkville Middle, Pikesville Middle, Pine Grove Middle, Ridgely Middle, Southwest Academy, and Woodlawn Middle only)

High School Technology Education Graduation Credit Course Options: 

High School Advanced Technology Education Course Options: 
An instructional program that meets the credit requirement specified in COMAR 13A.03.02.04 for advanced technology education in which students in the high school learning years shall develop in-depth skills and understanding related to one or more of the following: the impacts of technology, technological issues, engineering design.

Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technology (MET) Career Completer Programs:

  • Construction Design and Management (Franklin High, Milford Mill Academy, Sparrows Point High)
  • Engineering Careers (Eastern Technical High School)
  • PLTW Engineering (Catonsville, Chesapeake, Dundalk, Dulaney, Owings Mills, Parkville, Pikesville and Woodlawn High Schools)
