In-person: BCPS provides qualified interpreters to help the communication between school staff and families who have limited English proficiency. Many languages are spoken by our students and families. We will continue to expand our list of interpreters to accommodate more languages.
Over-the-Phone: Additionally, BCPS provides our school staff access to telephonic interpreting services (phone interpreters) through Language Line.
To request an interpreter
If you need an interpreter, please let your school know.
To indicate your language need, you may use an I-Speak Card or Language Assistance Card.
BCPS Staff may visit the Interpreting Services (staff site) for additional information.
