Tell us about a teacher, assignment, field trip, or extracurricular activity that had a significant impact on you during your years as a BCPS student?

I was inspired with participating in track and field as it taught me the value of family and community to be there for others when they need you. It helped me to be mindful, respectful, and caring towards others.

During your years as a BCPS student, what did you accomplish that you are most proud of?

Completing my engineering magnet program at Sollers Point Technical High School while also attending Loch Raven High School. It has shaped me to learn the value of hard work and persistence when times get hard. Persistence and determination helped me accomplish my goal.

What’s next for you? What are your college or employment plans immediately after graduation?

After graduation, I will get a small job during the summer. I will attend CCBC for electrical engineering will the plan of transferring to UMBC after two years to complete the electrical engineering program.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I really hope I will be able to create or be a part of a renewal energy company to make sure that fossil fuel and pollution are diminished from our society. I also hope to return to my home town of Douala, Cameroon to help develop reliable and affordable electricity.
