MARYLAND APPROVED ALTERNATIVE PREPARATION PROGRAM (MAAPP)
For the 2015-2016 School Year
Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) are seeking candidates who would like to teach Math, Science, Special Education, or one of the World Languages (Chinese, French, Latin, Spanish) at the middle school or high school level and who do not meet requirements for teacher certification. These candidates may be eligible to participate in an alternative pathway toward certification through the BCPS/Goucher College partnership for Maryland Approved Alternative Preparation Program.
Benefits of the Program
*Effective April 1, 2008, the following tests are accepted in lieu of Praxis I:
*Visit the Educational Testing Services website: www.ets.org/praxis for testing administration dates.
APPLICATANTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR A SCREENING INTERVIEW UNLESS ALL DOCUMENTS ARE RECEIVED BY March 13, 2015. After completing the on line application, submit a cover letter, final official transcripts and test scores (if you posses transcripts from outside the U.S. please provide a translated course by course evaluation) to Baltimore County Public Schools, Office of Staffing, 6901 Charles Street, E Building, Towson, MD 21204.
